Ready for the really unusual? Here is an interesting piece of Victoriana....a watch chain made of human hair - gold filled mounts and a nice horn of plenty style fob with a red stone. Not all human hair pieces were mourning pieces - some were gifts given by a sweetheart to their beloved - in this instance, I believe that is the case. Truly a lost art. This would make a great accessory for any gentleman who enjoys reenacting the period 1850 -1880. The fob is in nice condition and measures about 2 inches long. Hair is still supple, wound well, and minimal fraying - still entirely structurally intact and perfectly wearable. The whole thing measures about 16 inches long, not counting the fob.
