Found in the English town of Hemswell - my jeweler says it tests Sterling Silver. No marks. Construction and clasp tells me it is Victorian. Lovely detailing on the front, a foliate design from the aesthetic era (ca. 1880). Can be worn either vertically or horizontally - old style "c" clasp. Kind of a truncated "bow" - just the thing for your Fall season lapel. Measures 2 inches long, weighs 11.2 grams. Handsome and understated, yet sure to be noticed. Excellent condition.
