I love these early advertising pieces - this was probably a premium given to a good customer upon his purchase of a new Top Hat! Falcon Headware was apparently located in the churchyard in the town of Hitchin, Hertfordshire (England). This historic town has been a market town for over 1000 years. The town market has been open near the medieval church since that time - no doubt Falcon Headware was well known in its' day.
This lovely wooden brush is in great shape and still boasts long, soft bristles. Perfectly usable today. Measures 10 inches long. Has that unique curve design that makes it just the thing to clean a man's hat, whether it be a top hat, a bowler, a Stetson, or a fedora.
