I found this piece in the English town of Newark - nice (large) carved shell cameo featuring the requisite Pretty Lady, set in a silver gilt mount - all suspended from a box chain. One nice feature is that the pendant can easily be removed from the chain so that you may wear the chain alone or with something else. Chain measures about 17 inches long (not including the pendant) - cameo measures a generous 2 inches long. In total, will hang down about 11.5 inches from the back of the neck. Has a very interesting clasp that I've never seen before, but it works fine. I would date this from about 1920-1930. Excellent condition.
