These little books were popular gift items in the latter part of the 19th century and then continuing into the first part of the 20th century - every possible theme, topic, etc, but this is one I haven't seen before.
Found in the English town of Hemswell, entitled Sweetbriar: A Birthday Book and Language of Flowers, has 1915 gift inscription on the flyleaf, no copyright date, pages are unnumbered, appears to be complete. It has been used - there are names inscribed throughout the book - guess this person had a lot of friends! Some soiling to cover. Measures 3.5 inches by 4.5 inches.
You have a flower and a verse for every day of the year, and the meaning of the flower, along with a spot to write in someone's birthday.
