Found in the English town of Hemswell - here is a charming little late 19th century Victorian brooch, unmarked, tests sterling silver with 9 carat gold accents. Done in the Aesthetic style and features a swallow in flight. The swallow used to be considered a lucky bird in the UK. Excellent condition, highly detailed. Old style "c" clasp and even has a delicate little safety chain (easily removed if desired). Measures 1.5 inches across, weighs 6.1 grams.
