Found at the Newark Antiques Fair, here is a lovely old French First Communion medal - silverplate - 2 intertwined initials on reverse, wheat and grapes motif, and date May 21, 1903. Front side shows the female communicant leaning on the breast of Christ, who is pictured with the chalice and broken bread. Face of Christ is a bit rubbed. The Alpha and Omega symbol is at the bottom. Signed "Poncet." Measures 1 inch across. This medal is really quite beautiful.
