The knives were made by Henry David in NY in the 1840s. They were tested at 87% silver. The handles have a beautiful design. Each blade is marked. The blades are also silver. There is no monogram. The handles have the pattern on both sides. This set is in remarkable condition for its 175 years of age. Only a few tiny dents or scratches. One handle has some deep scratches in one place (looks like it was filed) shown in photograph. They measure 8 in. long. The total weight is 340 g, about 56 g each.
