The most wonderful doll dress and hat ever! I love everything about it. It’s made of early embossed silk of soft purple and white stripes. It has a pleated skirt where it tapers to a 1 ½” longer in the back to create a bustle effect. It’s trimmed in maroon velvet on the collar, sleeves, skirt and picket. The buttons along the front are made of carnival glass. The back is tailored and beautiful with a scooped sash attached with buttons at the hips. There is some wear on the sleeves and along the front, but no holes and the piece is still solid. The matching hat is just adorable. I can pictures this outfit on a Bru, Steiner, Jumeau or Schmitt. Of course it would fit any antique doll. It measures 8” in length, 4” shoulder width, 10” around the chest and 3 ½” cuff openings. The hat circumference of the area that would rest on the dolls head is approximately 10” around.
