I am listing this exquisite pair of Antique advertising postcards together as they are both advertising Vals Mineral Water and more importantly, both feature the same model.
She is framed by a typical Art Nouveau organic design of swirls and flowers. One even has a few tiny butterflies.
The first postcard, for Vals Saint-Jean (a French spa town), bears the slogan 'Se melange a toutes les boissons' (A mixture of all drinks), and features the lovely model blowing large soapy bubbles containing more slogans. It is postally un-used, clean verso and in wonderful Antique condition.
The second postcard, for Vals Precieuse, shows our maiden holding a list of the many benefits of 'Vals' and bears the slogan 'On la boit pure' (A pure drink). It is postally used, stamped and franked 1902. With some corner bumps and a small corner bend top left it is in good Antique condition.
Both have an early un-divided back and neither has an artist signature or publishers name.
They would look fabulous framed together.
I have another Vals advertising postcard listed RP178, but it features a different model.
