This very pretty and simply styled Etruscan Revival 'snake-like' bypass wrap bangle dates to the late Victorian era. c1880.
Fashioned from a gold-wash over brass or copper it features a very flexible spiral gold-wash wire wrap hollow band with a decorative ball at either end.
The balls are decorated in Etruscan style with fine plaited wirework in a fan shape and tiny balls.
Measuring app. 8" end to end it will easily fit most wrists as it is very simple to slip on.
For its age the condition is good. The gilding is bright on the twist wire band but is wearing off the under side of the end balls and is reflected in the price.
