After an original work by famed French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919), comes this sensitive Antique French Etching.
It features a beautiful long haired young woman, seated in a large chair and in a pensive pose.
Entitled 'La Pensee' (Thoughtful) it is signed by Renoir lower left in the print.
Originally created in 1880 it was etched by Emile LeQueux (after the original painting by Renoir) and published in1904 in the Gazette des Beaux-Arts, Paris.
Measuring 6 1/2" x 5 3/4" with wide margins, it is printed by Charles Wittmann on Japan paper and has a good strong plate mark.
With some mild age foxing in the margins it is in good Antique condition.
