By the French Art Nouveau illustrator and poster artist Rene Prejelan (1877-1968) is this very charming magazine illustration from the early twentieth century.
Entitled L'Oeil en Coulisses (watching from the wings) it depicts a young girl in a frilly blue dress peeping around a piece of stage scenery.
Best known for his comic illustrations and cartoons..this is a bit of a departure for the artist.
Measuring 9" x 11 1/2" the illustration has a tiny tear in the lower margin with a small tape over it. There is also printing verso which is not seen through the illustration.
The Antique condition is good.
