By the iconic Art Nouveau French poster artist Adolphe Willette (1857-1926) is this unique and rare original War Lithograph.
Un-titled, but with a verse from the French National Anthem of the Second Republique (1848-1852) 'Chant des Girondins' (by the author of La Marseillaise..Claude-Joseph Rouget de Lisle) written lower right, it is also signed and dated 1915 in the plate by the artist.
Featuring the final scene from Alexander Dumas's play 'Le Chevalier de Maison-Rouge' it illustrates a War scene of soldiers with swords, horses, women and the injured..all watched over by the Angel of Death.
From an un-numbered limited edition of 100 Lithographs it measures 14" x 20" .
Printed on a heavy cream Lithographic paper, with some slight age soiling, small corner losses upper left and lower right and some small lower edge tears, it is in good Antique condition.
