This stunning Figured Cream and Embroidered Floral Silk Furisode Kimono dates to c1940 and would make a wonderful Wedding kimono (Uchikake).
Crafted from a beautiful cream Rinzu (figured silk) with a jacquard floral self patter, this lovely Vintage Furisode Kimono has an over pattern of dyed Chrysanthemums, Peonies and Pine branches.
In shades of pale and deep green, rust, orange, cream, yellow, pink and black..embroidered and also hand painted with gold.
Although it does not have a padded hem, the color, quality and design would make it a wonderful Wedding Uchikake.
The Furisode is the most formal Kimono worn by un-married women and the extra deep sleeves are a feature of the style.
Measurements are Full Width: 53" Body Width: 26" and Length: 62 1/2".
With a beige and white silk lining, edged with orange..there are some tiny spots on the collar and right front sleeve. The beautiful silk has no 'shattering' and the Vintage condition is very good.
The Furisode has not been dry cleaned.
