Figured Cream and Embroidered Floral Silk Furisode Kimono c1940.
Crafted from a beautiful cream Rinzu (figured silk), this lovely Vintage Furisode Kimono has a pattern of dyed Chrysanthemums, Peonies and Pine branches, in shades of green, rust, orange, cream, yellow and black.. hand embroidered with gold.
The Furisode is the most formal Kimono worn by un-married women and the extra deep sleeves are a feature of the style.
Measurements are Full Width: 53" Body Width: 26" and Length: 62 1/2".
With a beige and white silk lining, edged with orange..there are some tiny spots on the collar and right front sleeve. The beautiful silk has no 'shattering' and the Vintage condition is good.
The Furisode has not been dry cleaned.
