Hungarian Artist World War One Postcard 1915.
Artist Gyula Benczur (1844-1920) was a Hungarian pedagogue, winning International success early in his career.
This unique variation of a war painting is one of his later works commissioned and dated (on the boat) 1915.
It depicts several young men floundering in a vast wild ocean and trying to board a small fishing boat.
Beautifully rendered it is titled simply 'Ember Kudst' (People Fight), and dates to the time Benczur spent in Munich during World War One..
Issued by Rotophot, Budapest, it is numbered 780, postally un-used and clean verso. With small corner bumps the condition is good.
