Dating from the 1930's is this lovely and delicate faux pearl and bead evening purse. I inherited it from my Mother and remember her using it when I was very young. Fashioned from cream satin it has a unique 'leaf' design worked in faux pearls edged with tiny opalescent beads. Enhanced with swirling rows of tiny clear/silver centred beads as a contrast.
The design is the same front and back and there are no missing pearls and 6 tiny missing beads (see photograph #3).
There is an attached satin handle, also decorated with faux pearls and beads and the bag closes with a working metal zip.
The label inside reads Golden Rose Made in Japan and the cream satin lining shows some age discoloration but is in good condition.
The bag measures 6 1/4" x 4 1/2" and with some slight age discoloration to the satin and one very small 'rust' mark to the edge of the handle (see photograph #4), it is in good Vintage condition.
