Dating to the Art Nouveau period (Meiji era) c1900, this lovely silk Kimono is a feast of beautiful flowers in vibrant colors.
With a figured background of tiny checks in contrasting light and dark beige, the pattern is an all over floral in sharp cerise, highlighted by aqua/green leaves.
The three tone silk lining of coral and mottled rust on the upper part and deep tangerine inside the sleeves, compliments the color of the flowers to perfection.
Traditionally Kimono have no sizing but the measurements are Entire width (sleeve-tip to sleeve-tip) 50" Body width 24 1/4" and Length 58".
The Kimono has not been dry cleaned and with one discoloration on the front shoulder (see picture #7), which has been taken into consideration in the price and a specialist dry cleaner could correct, is in good condition.
