This beautiful pure silk Japanese Kimono dates to c1960.
It is fashioned from a cream/white and orange/yellow silk brocade background, over which is an amazingly detailed and colorful pattern of open and closed folding fans (sensu), birds (hiragana), maple (momiji) and laurel leaves, wisteria (fuji), and chrysanthemums (kiku) in a wonderful color mix of green, white, yellow, red, grey, pastel blue and olive.
The original cream silk lining is edged with deep orange and in beautiful condition.
Traditionally Kimono have no sizing but the Entire width (sleeve-tip to sleeve-tip) is 49 1/2", the Body width is 25" and the Length is 60 1/2".
It has not been dry cleaned.
With no damage or shattering to the gorgeous pure silk, the Vintage condition is very good.
