Although it dates to the Art Deco era c1925, this stunning and vibrant silk Kimono still has the original hand tacking stitches in place and is probably un-worn.
Fashioned from a gorgeous floral silk in crisp shades of green, lemon yellow, bold orange and white, set against a beige background to great visual effect.
The fabric is a unique hand painted watered silk, with that wonderful slightly blurred look that is the Hallmark of hand painted silk.
The pattern screams Art Deco and the condition is fabulous with no damage to the wonderful silk.
The lining is a plain two tone beige and white silk with a fine mint green edging and has a couple of age related spots.
Traditionally Kimono have no sizing but the measurements are Entire width (sleeve-tip to sleeve-tip) 49 1/4", Body width 23 3/4" and Length 61 1/4".
Please note: The pure silk in this original Japanese kimono is in a one-of-a-kind print and the silk is garment weight. Not flimsy lingerie weight silk.
The Kimono has not been dry cleaned.
