This beautiful Art Nouveau Chromo Lithograph is from the well known French issue Album de la Decoration of 1900.
It featured many unique images by some of the most famous artists of La Belle Epoque. This is Plate #2 from Volume three.
After an earlier design by Louis Clermont it is the original drawing for a wonderful 'Paravent Brode' (wide screen) see last photo.
It features 3 Panneau (panels) with a true Art Nouveau atmosphere.
The central panel depicts a lake with trees in the distance and the two side panels show two lovely naked ladies about to plunge into the cooling water.
The frame of the screen has a typically organic Art Nouveau shape and the colors are limited to shades of green, brown and cream, which, with the heavy outlines show the Japanese influence that was popular at the time.
Printed by Imprimerie Courmont Freres et Cie and Edited by A Calavas, Paris it is printed on heavy stock.
Measuring 14 1/4" x 10 1/4" full sheet, the image is app.10 1/4" x 8 1/2" and with slight creases to both top corners (well reinforced verso by the addition of some tape many years ago) the Antique condition is good.
