These early twentieth century pieces of a bygone era are a part of Mid-America's transportation history. I have yet to determine exactly if they are directly related to the horsecar or the streetcar industry of early Council Bluffs Iowa. I do know they are all pre-Korean war and presumably pre-WW2. Most of the blurred information available lends itself to the years between 1917 and 1952. I would presume these to be of the 1940's - 1950's Bus or Coach era. Promoting Street Car use with the slogan: "KEEP 'EM ROLLING When you CAN, use a Street Car instead of a Bus, PLEASE MOVE BACK." Serial numbers of the tickets included: 000428, 001321, 002552 and 03033. Stops available at that time included - D-10, F.So.Omaha, K.D., A-20, B.G., C.L., X.T., 13-BUS, 36-BUS, 52-BUS, B-BUS, Q-BUS, and 45 So.6. Other available routes and stops included: from Fort to Ames, Ames to Lake, Lake to Cuming, Cuming to California and California to Farnum. 32Grover to 32Arbor, 32Arbor to 29Leavenworth, 29Leavenworth to 42Leavenworth, 42Leavenworth to 25Leavenworth, 25Leavenworth to 25Dodge, 25Dodge to 40Dodge, 40Dodge to 50Dodge and 50Dodge to 60Dodge.
