Walnut Hill is a historic neighborhood located in north Omaha, Nebraska platted by Dr. Samuel Mercer in the 1880's. It is bounded by North 40th Street on the east, Cuming Street on the south, Northwest Radial Highway and Saddle Creek Road on the west and Hamilton Street on the north. Walnut Hill Elementary School was first constructed in 1888, rebuilt in 1927 and again in 1994. It is one of Omaha's oldest schools. The address at time of the new construction in 1926 was 4355 Charles Street and commonly referred to as: 46th and Hamilton. This photograph states circa "1920's" and measures 8.25" by 10". Some soiling is shown on the front side and due to the fact that I have no knowledge of the proper restoration technique I am offering it in 'as is' condition. What a great piece of Omaha history.
