Weiss Late 1940's Rhinestone Flower Brooch
This fancy, layered construction flower brooch, signed by Weiss, is vintage late 1940's. The flower petals are a combination of marquis shaped clear stones over large and small round chatons, with a large clear round chaton in the center, all prong set in shiny, rhodium plated silver tone. The rhinestone baguette stem is embellished with a pave set tear drop leaf, as well as curled tendril leaves set with round chatons and a fan shape of clear baguettes. Great detail!
This impressive flower measures about 3 3/8" inches (8.6 cm) tall X 1 5/8" inches (4.1 cm) at its widest point. Back is hallmarked "WEISS" on a raised oval cartouche. Excellent condition. Only very slight aging of the stones on the leaves and "fan" leaves, as can be seen in the first photo. A rare one to find!
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: silver, clear, Size: L
