Napier 1973 Eugene Bertolli Modernist Glass Cab Bracelet ~ Book Piece
This Napier signed, vintage 1970s mod clamper bracelet, designed by Eugene Bertolli, features six oval lucite topaz or amber brown cabochons set in a gold plated bird's nest style open metal work frame, composed of wavy layers of thick, brushed textured, gold plated threads.
This 1973 design line is featured on page 475 of of this impressive book, "The Napier Company, Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry" by Melinda L. Lewis with Henry J. Swen, just published this year (2013). See 2nd photo.
Bracelet width is 1.25" inches and inside wearable circumference is 7" inches. The oval cabochons measure 23mm X 17mm. Inside of bracelet is hallmarked "Napier" with the copyright symbol (See last photo). Super excellent condition.
