This Napier signed, vintage 1970s mod pendant features three oval glass topaz or amber brown cabochons set in a gold plated bird's nest style open metal work frame, composed of wavy layers of thick, brushed textured, gold plated threads.
This 1973 design line is featured on page 475 of of this impressive book, "The Napier Company, Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry" by Melinda L. Lewis with Henry J. Swen, just published this year (2013). See 2nd photo.
The entire pendant measures 3.25" inches tall X 2.25" inches wide. The oval glass cabochons measure 23mm X 17mm and 17mm X 12mm (other two). Back of pendant is hallmarked "Napier" with the copyright symbol.
Pendant is strung from an oval link, gold plated chain, 24" inches in length. All pieces are in excellent condition.
