This late 1950's, signed Castlecliff 5-strand necklace sparkles like snow in the sun, with is faceted, donut shaped beads that have a opal-like shimmer to them. Hundreds of these glistening beads are strung in 5 graduating length strands to form a draping collar necklace, a runway statement piece!
Shortest strand measures 12" inches long and the longest strand, 15.25" inches. There is a 3" extender on one end of the necklace. Maximum wearable length of this necklace (for neck size & drape) is just shy of 17" inches. Necklace weighs 84 grams or nearly 3 ounces.
Piece is hallmarked "CASTLECLIFF" on the both sides of the gold plated necklace clasp, and it is in really excellent condition.
This is a rare, collectible and magnificent couture necklace from Castlecliff. The fabulous carnival glass beads sparkle like diamonds and flash pink, blue, and green in the light. The design is straightforward and bows to the splendor of the beads. So elegant!
NOTE: I have 4 strands from the same Castlecliff necklace that was missing 1 strand. I can use these parts to make earrings to go with this necklace - or earrings & a bracelet (have Castlecliff signed clasp from necklace that is missing 1 strand, too); please inquire to shop owner if interested.
