Vendome 1950's Rhinestone Cornucopia with Faux Pearl Bounty
This rare and dazzling cornucopia brooch, signed by Vendome, is vintage 1950-1955, since the hallmark does not bear the copyright symbol. The cornucopia horn is pave set with clear round chaton and rectangular baguettes in a shiny, rhodium plated silver tone setting. A cascade of creamy off-white faux pearls spill out from this bling-y horn of plenty...twelve strands in two layers of six, to be exact.
Each strand of dangling faux pearls measures almost 2" inches long. The cornucopia itself measures 2" inches long X 1" inch at its widest point. Back of pin is hallmarked "Vendome" on a raised, oval cartouche with their signature fleur-de-lys symbol. This pretty holiday pin is in excellent condition, save for some minor loss of the nacre coating on some of the faux pearls, which is only noticeable upon close inspection. Such an elegant piece for Thanksgiving!
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: off-white, cream, silver, clear, Size: L
