These adorable critter pins are featured in Melinda Lewis' impressive new book, "The Napier Company: DEFINING 20th CENTURY AMERICAN COSTUME JEWELRY", on page 878. They were created in 1971, a series called "Happy Face", which included also an apple, carrot, banana, fig and octopus. They are textured gold plate with eyelashes and one winking eye. Designed by Eugene Bertolli for Napier.
Bee measures 1.25" X 1.25" inches and caterpillar measures 1.5" X 7/8" of an inch. Both are hallmarked "NAPIER" with the copyright symbol on the back. Perfect condition. Price is for the set of 2 pins.
