Alfred Philippe patented this bountiful cornucopia fur clip for Trifari on August 20, 1940, design patent # 122,093 (See last photo for patent drawing). This one was done in pastel colors, with sea foam green enameling and pretty faceted pink and aqua blue oval stones, prong set in shiny, rhodium plated silver tone. Brilliant, sparkling clear diamantes are pave set all throughout the curled horn of plenty and all over the flowers that spring forth from it. Stones are all original in great shape. Clip on back works well and clips tightly.
This brooch or fur clip measures 2.25" inches tall X 1.75" inches at its widest point. Back of this wonderful piece is hallmarked "Trifari" and "Des Pat 122093". It is in pretty excellent vintage condition, save for some enamel wear on the lip and bottom curl of the cornucopia horn. Great piece to wear on Thanksgiving day!
