A beautiful ring with a wonderful contrast of black and clear. The oval jet black glass, resembling onyx, rests at the top and is surrounded with a border of clear diamante rhinestones on the next layer. A petal like design, making up the final layer, is encrusted with even more sparkling stones. All set in a bright silver tone finish. The shank, marked as sterling, is also shiny, I believe to be rhodium plated.
Panetta is known for creating jewelry to mimic the 'real' thing. This quality of work is evident by the time consuming process of each of the clear stones being bead set. Meaning each stone has a bead of the metal holding it in place.
The ring has a great presentation as it sits up off of the finger. And really sparkles as the light hits the stones.
Excellent vintage condition. The shank is marked ster shank, very minor wear at the base of the shank. Panetta is signed on the inside of the ring.
