Beautiful handcrafted pin featuring artfully turned brass wires applied to a round copper medallion. Cut out so that they lay even with the edge. The inner and outer circles have been hammered. The center has also been oxidized creating depth in the dark background, which further highlights the filigree metalwork. 5 polished purple stone beads, either amethyst or dyed onyx add color to this fabulous piece. Each of the four dangles consist of one of the beads, brass arrows shapes with copper metalwork accents.
Two bracelets in this style can be seen in Burkholtz's "Copper Art Jewelry" pg.13. Identifying this as Maya Mexico jewelry.
