This piece came to me in a box titled "Gary's Family Antique Jewelry". How cool is that? I didn't even realize it until after the purchase and went to close the lid. Several items to come dating from Victorian to the 50's.
This lovely lavalier features four tooth shaped real pearls measuring an average of 8mm prong set with leaf like caps. Forget me not flowers elements accent the bottom of the pendant and a smaller one at the top. An interesting dome shaped finding attaches the pendant to the chain.
The pendant is 2 1/4" x 1", including the bale and is attached to a 15" chain. Metal is gold filled or plate over brass including the chain. The patina is awesome and it appears the darker areas have been oxidized to further highlight the details. Some wear consistent with age, but the brass showing just enhances the beauty.
Circa 1930's, a Victorian Revival reproduction piece.
Excellent condition noting the above mentioned wear. A wonderful item for the collector.
