Superb antique Tiffany & Co diamond script locket (circa 1880s), crafted in 18k yellow gold.
The larger in scale locket is set with an estimated 0.70 carats of old rose cut diamonds. The diamonds are estimated at I-J color and SI2-I1 clarity.
A rare find on the market today, the Tiffany & Co locket is in lovely original condition. The script is tightly woven and quite hard to read, yet based on the opinion of a few we believe the letters to read "MCD". The locket is larger in scale at 1.53 inches in length (excluding the bale) and 1.14 inches wide. It opens to allow for the placement of a photo or keepsake. The bale is wide (5mm) and can accommodate a thicker chain. A one-of-a-kind piece for the collector or lover of fine antique jewelry.
The locket is in very good condition with light wear evident. We have not cleaned the locket in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
