Gesmar. Gesmar (1900 - 1928 ) was one of the greatest designers of costumes and posters of the golden age of jazz. It features the amazing entertainer " Mistimquet ". This Parisian Star was the queen of music halls and the highest paid female entertainer in the world. She choose Gesmar as her costume designer for ten years. Inside the cover are 34 pages of the shows stars in some of the most exciting costume designs imaginable. Four signed and framed full page costume designs are included. Once again all photos were taken by the renowned Lucien Walery. Costume creations were crucial to a shows success. right colors ,sparkly sequins and jewels were reflected from the lights as feathers, silks. beads and flowers competed for their own attention. It measures 12 1/2" x 10".
