I fell in love with this set the moment I saw it ! So unique, whether it reminds you of delicate icing roses on a wedding cake or the early frost on a still blooming rose bush. The lovely little rose buds are coated with a sugar coating which is actually tiny pieces of glass that resemble granulated sugar. This technique was originated in Japan in the early 1900's.Of course, this set however is not that early, but the design is not often found on many vintage jewelry pieces.A spray of protruding prong set crystals in a variation of depth sparkle and twinkle with brilliant fire amongst the blush pink and light beige buds. Set in a shiny gold tone setting with all pieces marked along with a patent #20664. In vain I have tried to find a matching date for the number, but so far no luck.Condition is amazing and appears to have never been worn. The beautiful brooch measures 2 1/4' and the clip earrings 1/2" . Enjoy!
