In fact he wrote this sweet piece in 1939 as a radio script.By 1946 it was published and today it is still 15th of the best selling children's books of all time. This 1946 first edition of the Christmas classic was published by Chicago Children's Press Inc. Illustrated by Katherine Evans (1899 - 1964) of Sedalia , Montana. The illustrations are simple and heart warming.The colors of this volume are deep and bright . Original pictorial boards and clipped dust jacket. condition is very good.Pages are clean and undamaged and binding is tight. There is a small inscription in script on inside cover that reads," Patti from Aunt Bernice ". Enjoy reliving special memories ( every day ) and beginning some new ones ( everyday ).
