Herber Rolandi Scelza was born in 1936 in Montevideo Uruguay. Creating and working with techniques in the screen painting and printing genre since 1951. He has built a rapport and name for himself with collectors and admirers worldwide. With works in 12 museums from Italy, Brazil and Argentina to name a few and has been featured in 16 international exhibits in France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and the USA, etc., etc. Today his original works are selling in auctions and galleries around the globe. This 1968 original Abstract on fiber is one of his earliest pieces. It is entitled " Composition En Signo " which translates to, in this sign we will conquer. It is signed by him in the lower left corner and I love the idea of having his name and past address written by him on the back. It is still in the original frame with the original mat. This early and bold screen painting measures 22" x 17" and mated and framed out it measures 31" x 25".
