This delightfully feminine vintage Anglican rosary is crafted from black wood beads and silver components, all from a French Art Nouveau rosary. The beads are plump and hard with a soft, matte black finish, and all are in excellent antique condition. The cruciform beads are slightly larger for easy discernment during prayer.
Although Anglican rosaries typically do not have a center medal and use a plain cross instead of a crucifix, I chose to use those original to the rosary to acknowledge their gentle beauty. The center is an inverted "M" honoring Mary and features a fleur-de-lis at the top and lovely acanthus throughout. The crucifix reflects this design with stylized fleurs-de-lis in the cutwork tips and delicate engraved designs. Unmarked, these components (and the chain) are made of silver alloy close to but less than 800 purity.
As Anglican rosaries originated in the mid-1980s, there are few true vintage beads available to those who appreciate a vintage aesthetic. I am therefore delighted to offer Anglican rosaries crafted from incomplete vintage and antique Catholic rosaries. My mission is to give these rosaries new life so they can continue their journey encouraging prayer and meditation. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and holds generations of devotional energy. My designs are simple and practical, making these "New Life Creations" both collectible and suitable for active Christian prayer.
This sweet religious devotional is large enough for prayer and lightweight enough to carry in a purse. Comes boxed and ready for gift-giving.
