This delightful little hexagonal religious medal captures the glory of the Christ Child's birth. A single star shines overhead illuminating the joyous babe on tufts of hay, beaming from His manger. Note the wonderful detail of the walls and the thick, curly hair and facial expression on Baby Jesus, especially under magnification. Just beautiful!

On the verso is inscribed "Bernard 2 Mai 1937."

The lovely glow is from the gold fix technique, a very thick plating process that tests positive for gold when acid tested and wears as well as karat gold jewelry. This technique was common in France during the Art Nouveau period and is quite beautiful. Note that the closed hanging loop is stamped "FIX" and that the gold is in excellent vintage condition.

This lovely, jewelry-quality medal would look beautiful on a gold chain as a pendant, with or without other devotional medals or favorite objects. It could also be added to a bracelet and is perfectly sized for a rosary. Consider this wonderful investment in style and precious materials while declaring your devotion the birth of Our Lord. Comes boxed and ready for gift-giving.
