A set of Edwardian porcelain buttons that consists of two cuff buttons and a large collar button brooch. They are hand painted with lovely angels or cherubs or putis in billowing clouds with moriage raised gold paint decoration around them. The large collar button measures 1 5/16" by 1 1/8" and shows an angel child with with wings with a background of pale blue sky and heavenly painted clouds on the white porcelain holding outstretched in his or her hands a pair of cymbals in the act of striking them. The two smaller buttons measure 5/8" in diameter with the same pale blue swirling cloud background and show only two angels' heads. There is thick gold decoration below all of the angels. As can be seen in the photos, one of the small angels has a tiny bit of paint missing on its mouth but it is placed where it almost appears as an accent of light and does not appear as a missing part of the angel. That is the only flaw. The buttons do not have chips and the rest of the painted decoration is intact. The camera has also exaggerated the natural soiling on the unglazed backs, which is actually pale in color.
