This is a very tiny and sweet antique buckle in sterling and covered in pastes. The buckle measures only 9/16", just barely over 1/2" in its widest dimension and is 3/8" wide. It is in the shape of a tied bow. This could be used on a French fashion doll on either a belt or other accessory or it could be used for an antique ribbon band locket or Victorian ribbon band watch. I am not sure exactly how it would operate but I believe that the ends would be threaded and possibly sewn or snaps or hooks used or it could be threaded into the center of a ribbon or fabric as well. The buckle is not marked but tests for sterling silver. The buckle is in excellent condition with no missing stones or damage. It weighs 1.3 grams.
