The Victorians were the best at elegant silverplate and the Pairpoint Company was at the top of the game. This silver plate sugar bowl has a scalloped edge, a ribbed neck and a floral bright cut body. The interior is gilded. It is marked Pairpoint Mfg Co with their "P" in a diamond logo. It also says Quadruple Plate and the number 313. Great for use as a pencil holder, spooner, jam pot, vase or lamp base.
CONDITION: Has a very small dent in one side, not very visible. Otherwise excellent vintage condition. The bowl stands straight; the crooked look is an ongoing issue with my photography! (Sorry)
DATE: c. 1880
DIMENSIONS: about 4 inches tall x 5 wide
