Early German Pear-Faced China Doll with Braided Bun, 14 inches
This early China head doll with a pink tint has that fabulous pear shaped face with upwards looking glance that immediately sets her off as unique and different from most other China dolls. She has a perfect porcelain head that alone measures 4 inches tall without damage or restoration. There is one minor factory flaw to note under her chin where the head and neck meet ~ a faint stress line that occurred during the firing.
She is attached to a later 1870's body with a cloth torso and porcelain arms and lower limbs with orange boots and a blue garter line. They are all in good condition. She wears white cotton undies and a lovely printed cotton dress.
