Offered is a darling 14.5" Kestner German bisque child known as the "Kestner Bru."
Her very pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate is perfect without damage or restoration and features very plump cheeks and throat, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, nicely feathered brows, and a closed mouth with pale outlined lips and a row of painted teeth. She also sports a Kestner pate and a replaced newer mohair wig. Marks: 7. Interestingly, she has pierced ears.
She is on an early chunky kid gusset-jointed body with bisque forearms. The bisque hands are perfect except for a chip on her right thumb . There is a kid reinforcement the lower legs and feet. The body is a chunky body which was obviously a copy of the popular Bru dolls of the era as it has a wide rump and chunky stitched toes. This model closely resembles the "circle/dot" model of Leon Casimir Bru.
She wears antique undies, a fabulous antique dress and a newer matching hat and replaced leather shoes and socks.
