Offered is what looks like to me an original card from the early 20th century that includes 3 miniature frozen charlottes (one with foot chip). It was a tradition to bake these inside cakes at parties as a party favor. This card says:
"Our Fiscal Policy After all's said and done and said about tax upon bread The Latest political wheeze Let them TAX what they will We''l have happiness still So long as they don't tax these!"
I would love to know the back story behind this act of tax resistance but could find nothing certain! Definitely an interesting piece of history. Card measures 4 3/4" wide by 4" tall and the little frozens measure 1 inch each. They are still tied to the card. The card has one tear and some bending but is complete.
