Offered is a beautiful large 25" early Kestner doll with a long face, low molded "chipmunk" cheeks, and square cut teeth.
Her bisque shoulder head is perfect without damage or restoration and is marked with a letter K, number 6 and the Germany stamp. The head is turned to the right and features a rosy complexion, beautiful blue paperweight set eyes, finely painted lashes and feathered brows. She has her original plaster pate and a replaced quality mohair wig. Because of her larger size, her face modeling is especially pronounced and striking.
She is on a great and sturdy German early stitch-jointed body with bisque lower bisque arms. The bisque lower arms are beautiful and the left hand has a couple of repaired fingers. The body has cloth feet and features the original socks and shoes and pantaloons as well as its knitted chemisette. She wears an antique Swiss dotted dress with an antique slip and a matching eyelet bonnet.
She is a really fine example!
