Offered is this very charming 14.5" German bisque character dressed as a Victorian boy ready for a winter day of play. Give him a wooden sled or skates and he would look like he stepped right out of a Victorian post card. Made by Gerbuder Heubach, he is mold #5636 and has wonderful sculpting and coloring.
His bisque socket head is perfect without damage or restoration. (There is a small baking imperfection inside the bisque near the crown that can be only seen with a high powered flashlight - not damage.) His painting is superb and the bisque evenly hued and not ruddy. He has blue glass sleep eyes, an open closed mouth with molded lower teeth and is marked: 5636 3 1/2 Germany. He wears an antique cardboard pate iwth an antique mohair wig.
He is on his original composition body in its original finish without any repairs or touch ups. The body is in excellent condition. He wears his antique knitted undies and chemise and a vintage winter outfit that is made of cotton velvet pants, a hand crocheted sweater, an antique crocheted scarf and antique mittens. His socks and shoes are also old and may be original.
