Offered is this 19.5" uncommonly found French character by Jules Verlingue as an Edwardian young lady. Jules verlingue was copying popular french characters during the WWI era and created the now sought after A. Marque look-a-like.
Her solid-domed bisque shoulder head is perfect without damage or restoration and features a long slender throat, nicely painted features, a closed mouth, and an auburn mohair wig with finger curls and braids. It is entirely possible that the wig is original to her. She is marked: Lutin J.V. France with the anchor mark. She is on an antique kid and cloth leather body with lower bisque arms. The body has a few tiny kid patches along the inner thigh seam and its bisque arms are in perfect condition without any chips or flakes.
A very pretty heart shaped faced girl with a strong presence.
