Offered on behalf of the Wood collection is a gorgeous 20" Tete Jumeau size 9 in a lovely antique ensemble.
Her bisque socket head is in perfect condition without damage or restoration (two small surface wig pulls near crown) and is marked "Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDC 9" and has the red artist's check marks. Her bisque is pale and luminous and her facial decoration exquisite. She has brown paperweight eyes and a high quality replaced mohair wig with long curls. (Spots you see near her mouth are just accumulated dirt which have cleaned off)
She is on her marked Jumeau body with original finish and no touch ups. It has all of its fingers and toes and the Jumeau stamp. There is some wear to joints and a few crazing lines on her torso as well as a small ding to her tummy.
She is costumed in a fantastic old dress with her original factory undies and slip and appropriate leather shows with antique pink knitted Jumeau socks. She has a darling antique pink silk sailor hat which compliments her well.
A beautiful example circa 1890.
